    About

    This will not be taught as a beginner class, but it will focus on putting the techniques you have learned seperately in submission wrestling, judo, wrestling, and kickboxing, together in MMA combos and drills for sparring. This class will also work more intermediate level ground and pound and focus on what strikes and submissions are legal in amateur and professional mixed martial arts. Ask your instructor about coming to this class. Once you know the basics of grappling, and the basics of striking, this class will be beneficial.

      Joe Miller is a Muay Thai fighter from Ft. Lauderdale who has been fighting and training for over 9 years. His trainer, Mark Trillas, was awarded a very prestigious honor from Kaewsamrit gym in Bangkok, Thailand when they offered their name to open a gym in Plantation, Fl. Trillas owns and operates Dynasty Martial Arts and Fitness: Kaewsamrit Gym USA. Joe has competed in Muay Thai, MMA, and BJJ but specifically focuses on Muay Thai with 10 Muay Thai fights and 2 MMA fights. He’s been a part of the MMA community of Tallahassee since 2006 and was the Muay Thai coach at Tallahassee Mixed Martial Arts, World Vibe MMA, and Capital City Combat Club before coming to TFW Tallahassee. He has also trained all over the state of Florida at places like Khanomtom Gym in Tampa where he got the chance to get personal training from Muay Thai legend and Lumpinee Stadium champion Attachai Fairtex. He spent a four-week training camp at American Top Team HQ in Coconut Creek where he had the opportunity to train and spar with UFC and Strikeforce fighters like Mike Brown, Hector Lombard and Jorge Masvidal. Joe Miller and Sky Rudloe are the fight team Head Coaches here at TFW.

Sky has been the head coach at several MMA academies in Tallahassee, and teaches women’s self defense classes. Sky has won grappling tournaments across America including gold and silver metals at NAGA. He has competed as both an amateur and professional in cages in GA and FL.       Eric has been involved with mma since 2008 here in Tallahassee. He started at Tallahasssee Combat Sports(TCS) with Joey Burtoft and Josh Samman. In 2011 Eric and Josh Samman worked with Capital City Combat Club(C4). Now in late 2012, Eric is very proud to be working with Sky and Alissa Rudloe at TFW since they all have seen the rise of mma grow here in Tallahasssee. Before starting with mma Eric was with Florida State University as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Eric spent 7 years at FSU working with Football, Men’s Basketball, Softball, Men’s Golf, Womens Tennis and Cheerleading. Eric’s first team was the dance team(Golden Girl’s). He has a National Championship ring for Football(1999). While attending FSU he was sports chairman for his fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. At this time Eric was also an ammy boxer and president of FSU wrestling club. Eric started his college career at Western Illinois University as a Division 1 wrestler.

    Our group lifting classes are designed to give more time to teach and perform the various lifts. Different lifts such as deadlift, benchpress, front/back squat, push press, clean, clean and jerk, snatch, etc are incorporated. Fighters: this class is going to be essential to furthering your game plan by improving explosive power and strength. Ladies: Do NOT be scared by the word weight lifting. It is extremely beneficial to bone health, muscular fiber strength, and will even improve metabolic function. You will not get big and bulky, your DNA is not designed for that. (Although it will give you a nicer butt.) This class is for all levels and you will record all of your lifts in your composition notebook to track improvement.

      Mason is one of MMA’s greatest success stories. When Mason started training he tipped the scales at 365lbs.  Athletically gifted for a man of his size, paired with a work ethic second to none, Mason lost a total of 115 lbs. Since Mason started training, he has become an inspiration to many and a staple in the MMA community. Mason has competed in and won several grappling tournaments and has been the strength and conditioning coach to several local and regional fighters. His straight forward approach to striking, grappling, self-defense, and conditioning, gets results. Not to mention he is quite the character, and his positive attitude is extremely contagious. He coaches for the sheer enjoyment of seeing people reach their goals and potential.

      I want to use what I have learned to help others enact the change they want in their own lives.

      James Wright began his fitness and life transformation at the age of 20. After weighing in at 400 lbs James knew he had to change. He started with diet and exercise, but this alone was not able to get him to his ultimate goal of 200 lbs. It’s been a long and bumpy road these last 13 years. With the help of Train Fight Win, and through intense training and self-discovery James has been able to accomplish his goal of reaching 200 lbs. James’ new goal is to help others obtain their fitness and weight loss goals.

      Success is the constant destruction of your mental barriers.

      Brad is a fitness instructor at TFW. He started down the road to healthy living when he was laid off in 2003, 245 lbs of unwieldy flab graced his frame, and had nothing but time on his hands. After losing 25 lbs. and running a few 5Ks, this new athleticism was put to use by running the 2008 Tallahassee Marathon. Since then, he is now down to 190 lbs. and has completed four additional marathons. Races have included everything from 5Ks, sprint triathlons, short obstacle/mud races, Tough Mudder, and half marathons. His current project is training for a 70.3 distance triathlon in July. He is dedicated to the Paleo lifestyle and full-body strength training for endurance success.

He played soccer at Chiles High School and continues to play in recreational leagues. He is experienced in strength, endurance and agility training. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and currently works as an engineer.

After high school, in addition to dancing she began training kung-fu with Sifu Les Clements, FCS Kali with Guro Mike Jennings, and mixed martial arts. She is a FSU and marching chiefs alumni with a degree in biological science. Currently, Alissa is an experienced fitness instructor who has competed in marathons, triathlons, adventure races, and martial arts tournaments. She also performs with the Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers with whom she has been dancing with for over 10 years. Alissa is not one to sit around, and she keeps herself busy trying out new hobbies such as cooking, pinup fashion, theater, modeling, gymnastics, and mountain biking.

    About

    This is a women’s only class that teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(BJJ) style of submission wrestling. We created this class for women to feel more comfortable, and to have training partners their own size. As opposed to traditional wrestling which forces opponents onto their back, Jiu-Jitsu focuses on the use of joint locks and chokes to force opponents to submit. Jiu-Jitsu is both fun and an excellent form of self defense.

    This class focuses on the highly functional movements with a kettlebell. Students will start slow with the most basic movements and gradually build their technique to include swings, Turkish get ups, cleans, squats, etc. This type of weight training effectively builds endurance, burns fat, and increases strength all in one package.

Sky is a FSU alumni with a degree in History. He has been practicing MMA in Tallahassee for over 10 years, and has trained at gyms across America including Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Penn MMA in Hawaii, and Zingano’s in Colorado. Sky has been the head coach at several MMA academies in Tallahassee, and teaches women’s self defense classes. Sky has won grappling tournaments across America including gold and silver metals at NAGA. He has competed as both an amateur and professional in cages in GA and FL. Sky is also trained in life saving techniques as both an EMT and firefighter.

      • Sky has been a stand-up comedian for 13 years, and spent a summer performing in Las Vegas. If you’re lucky you may catch him on stage around Tallahassee from time to time.
      • Sky once attempted to fight a swarm of wasps. It did not go as well as he might have hoped, but he still feels he got in some punches.

    Our classes are intense workouts in HIIT (high intensity interval training) circuit type style. Our workouts include a lot of variability and periodization, to build muscle and burn fat. We use a variety of equipment including: kettlebells, dumbbells, tires, medicine balls, battle ropes, resistance bands, sandbags, jump rope, and even your own body weight. Every workout is different to keep you motivated and excited and these workouts can be tailored to ANY level of fitness.

      James Wright began his fitness and life transformation at the age of 20. After weighing in at 400 lbs James knew he had to change. He started with diet and exercise, but this alone was not able to get him to his ultimate goal of 200 lbs. It’s been a long and bumpy road these last 13 years. With the help of Train Fight Win, and through intense training and self-discovery James has been able to accomplish his goal of reaching 200 lbs. James’ new goal is to help others obtain their fitness and weight loss goals.

      Success is the constant destruction of your mental barriers.

      Brad is a fitness instructor at TFW. He started down the road to healthy living when he was laid off in 2003, 245 lbs of unwieldy flab graced his frame, and had nothing but time on his hands. After losing 25 lbs. and running a few 5Ks, this new athleticism was put to use by running the 2008 Tallahassee Marathon. Since then, he is now down to 190 lbs. and has completed four additional marathons. Races have included everything from 5Ks, sprint triathlons, short obstacle/mud races, Tough Mudder, and half marathons. His current project is training for a 70.3 distance triathlon in July. He is dedicated to the Paleo lifestyle and full-body strength training for endurance success.

      Danny was born and raised in Tallahassee. He grew up playing lots of soccer, baseball, football and basketball. He played soccer at Chiles High School and continues to play in recreational leagues. He is experienced in strength, endurance and agility training. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and currently works as an engineer.

She is a FSU and marching chiefs alumni with a degree in biological science. Currently, Alissa is an experienced fitness instructor who has competed in marathons, triathlons, adventure races, and martial arts tournaments. She also performs with the Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers with whom she has been dancing with for over 10 years. Alissa is not one to sit around, and she keeps herself busy trying out new hobbies such as cooking, pinup fashion, theater, modeling, gymnastics, and mountain biking.

      Eric has been involved with mma since 2008 here in Tallahassee. He started at Tallahasssee Combat Sports(TCS) with Joey Burtoft and Josh Samman. In 2011 Eric and Josh Samman worked with Capital City Combat Club(C4). Now in late 2012, Eric is very proud to be working with Sky and Alissa Rudloe at TFW since they all have seen the rise of mma grow here in Tallahasssee. Before starting with mma Eric was with Florida State University as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Eric spent 7 years at FSU working with Football, Men’s Basketball, Softball, Men’s Golf, Womens Tennis and Cheerleading. Eric’s first team was the dance team(Golden Girl’s). He has a National Championship ring for Football(1999). While attending FSU he was sports chairman for his fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. At this time Eric was also an ammy boxer and president of FSU wrestling club. Eric started his college career at Western Illinois University as a Division 1 wrestler.

      Sky is the co-owner of Train. Fight. Win. Tallahassee. He grew up in Panacea, FL where his family runs the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, a public aquarium. Sky is a FSU alumni with a degree in History. He has been practicing MMA in Tallahassee for over 10 years, and has trained at gyms across America including Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Penn MMA in Hawaii, and Zingano’s in Colorado. Sky has been the head coach at several MMA academies in Tallahassee, and teaches women’s self defense classes. Sky has won grappling tournaments across America including gold and silver metals at NAGA. He has competed as both an amateur and professional in cages in GA and FL. Sky is also trained in life saving techniques as both an EMT and firefighter.

      • Sky has been a stand-up comedian for 13 years, and spent a summer performing in Las Vegas. If you’re lucky you may catch him on stage around Tallahassee from time to time.
      • Sky once attempted to fight a swarm of wasps. It did not go as well as he might have hoped, but he still feels he got in some punches.
      • Sky has a full zombie contingency plan worked out, complete with route out of city, weapons, and a practiced zombie walk in case he is bitten.

    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(BJJ) is a style of submission wrestling. As opposed to traditional wrestling which forces opponents onto their back, Jiu-Jitsu focuses on the use of joint locks and chokes to force opponents to submit. Jiu-Jitsu is both fun and an excellent form of self defense.

      Mason is one of MMA’s greatest success stories. When Mason started training he tipped the scales at 365lbs.  Athletically gifted for a man of his size, paired with a work ethic second to none, Mason lost a total of 115 lbs. Since Mason started training, he has become an inspiration to many and a staple in the MMA community. Mason has competed in and won several grappling tournaments and has been the strength and conditioning coach to several local and regional fighters. His straight forward approach to striking, grappling, self-defense, and conditioning, gets results. Not to mention he is quite the character, and his positive attitude is extremely contagious. He coaches for the sheer enjoyment of seeing people reach their goals and potential.

    This is a women’s only class, where you will learn real kickboxing techniques while wearing gloves and hitting bags and focus mitts. We will focus on kicks, punch combos, foot work, and head movement.       Suzanne Simpson

      If you keep pushing for your dreams, they will eventually come true. The key is to not stop once you achieve and never settle for anything less

      Suzanne is a Tallahassee native, she loves competition and anything to do with outdoor activities. Suzanne is an accomplished equestrian, and held regional show titles by the time she was 17. Through her college years she enjoyed racing mountain bikes with the FSU cycling team, which eventually led to competing in sprint triathlons. Her other hobbies include surfing, snow boarding, kayaking, paddle boarding, and breeding Rednose Pit Bulls.

      Suzanne began in martial arts at the age of 7, with TaeKwonDo obtaining her 1st degree black belt by the age of 13 under Grand Master Joong Keun Suh. After that, she went on to train and teach in the Ed Parker system of American Kenpo Karate under Jack L. Morris. For 5 years she was a Sensei in both children’s and adult classes alike, extending to teach children’s classes at Christ Classical Academy in Tallahassee. Suzanne has been immersed in the MMA world since 2003 and truly loves the art, technique, passion that it possess.

      Alissa is the co-owner of TFW Tallahassee. She is a Tallahassee native who started her active lifestyle in dance and team sports. After high school, in addition to dancing she began training kung-fu with Sifu Les Clements, FCS Kali with Guro Mike Jennings, and mixed martial arts. She is a FSU and marching chiefs alumni with a degree in biological science. Currently, Alissa is an experienced fitness instructor who has competed in marathons, triathlons, adventure races, and martial arts tournaments. She also performs with the Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers with whom she has been dancing with for over 10 years. Alissa is not one to sit around, and she keeps herself busy trying out new hobbies such as cooking, pinup fashion, theater, modeling, gymnastics, and mountain biking.

      Success is the constant destruction of your mental barriers.

      Brad is a fitness instructor at TFW. He started down the road to healthy living when he was laid off in 2003, 245 lbs of unwieldy flab graced his frame, and had nothing but time on his hands. After losing 25 lbs. and running a few 5Ks, this new athleticism was put to use by running the 2008 Tallahassee Marathon. Since then, he is now down to 190 lbs. and has completed four additional marathons. Races have included everything from 5Ks, sprint triathlons, short obstacle/mud races, Tough Mudder, and half marathons. His current project is training for a 70.3 distance triathlon in July. He is dedicated to the Paleo lifestyle and full-body strength training for endurance success.

      • Can cook a mean pot of Paleo chili.
      • Huge fantasy/sci-fi book fan. Favorite series is the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.
      • Holds 1:05 min. time for going up and down every single stair in Doak Campbell Stadium.

      Danny was born and raised in Tallahassee. He grew up playing lots of soccer, baseball, football and basketball. He played soccer at Chiles High School and continues to play in recreational leagues. He is experienced in strength, endurance and agility training. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and currently works as an engineer.
